Former Majors

May 2014: Keegan Nichols (department honors in philosophy); Danica Palacio (departmental honors in philosophy); Candice Travis (departmental honors in philosophy).

2016: Keegan Nichols is finishing up his MA in Philosophy at Georgia State University; Danica Palacio is her 2nd year of medical school at Temple University; Candice Travis earned an MA in Political Science at Lehigh in 2015 and is now pursuing her PhD in Political Theory at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

2016: Alex Haitos is a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy at Texas A&M. While he was at Lehigh earning his BA, Alex published two papers in national journals for philosophy undergraduates.  His undergraduate thesis on Possibility in Whitehead earned him a trip to Japan to present his work at an international conference on Whitehead.

 Tony Ferrizzi is pursuing an MA in English at Kutztown University. He is a Deleuzean Free Jazz Guitarist; his first solo album Virginity 2014. available at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/tonyferrizzi
 
             Deborah Streahle is a Labor & Postpartum Doula in Bryan Texas.  She wrote her undergraduate thesis on the phenomenology of a form of public intimacy: touching others by, for example, dentists doctors and hairdressers.  Public touching that approaches intimacy but is not private.  Her current work is in some ways a beautiful continuation of her thesis work at Lehigh.

 

2006: Brian Dunst, David Eck
2016: Brian Dunst won the Haynes prize in 2006, then graduated iwith a B.A. in Philosophy and a B.S. in Mathematics. He emtered graduate school at the University of South Florida and earned an M.A.  in Philosophy in 2010 and a Ph.D. in Philosiophy in 2012. He is currently a faculty member at Jefferson College
 
          Dave Eck received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Universityof South Florida in 2015 and is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Florida Gulf Coast University.
 
 
2003: Fareed Awan
2016: Fareed Awan won the Haynes Prize in 2002, then graduated Magna cum Laude, with Honors in Philosophy in 2003, and won a Presidential Scholarship for continued study at Lehigh in 2004. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy at the University of Washington and had a faculty position at the Universtiy of Minnesota.
